Description & Qualifications:
Home Tutor Available for ASD children between 2.5 – 6 years old in the Cavan/Meath Area.
10 or 20 hours a week under the Dept. of Education Home Tuition Grant Scheme.
4 years experience teaching children with Autism using the ABA Method working in a center that uses interventions based on the science of behaviour analysis.
An Honours Degree in Montessori Education from St. Nicholas Montessori College in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin.
Infant & Child First Aid qualification from Pulse Medical valid until 2017.
Also completed the 1st Module of the Lamh Manual Sign System Course & trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention(CPI) by the Crisis Prevention Institute.

July provision is a scheme available to children with autistic spectrum disorders and severe to profound learning disabilities. Home based July provision is provided for children where the school does not operate a scheme or where the child is of pre-school age in which case, parents must apply annually to the Department of Education for funding. Parents must source their own tutors/teachers for Home Based July Provision and ensure that the application form is completed. C.A.P.S help parents to source teachers.

Social Welfare Payments you May Be Entitled to:
Domiciliary Care Allowance
Domiciliary Care Allowance is a monthly payment for a severely disabled child who is under age 16 and needs full-time care and attention far beyond what is normally required by a child of the same age.
Carer’s Allowance is a means-tested payment for carers who look after certain people in need of full-time care and attention on a full time basis. If you are in receipt of another social welfare payment and you are providing someone with full time care and attention you may qualify for a reduced rate of carer’s allowance in addition to your original payment.
Respite Care Grant
The Respite Care Grant is an annual payment for full-time carers who look after certain people in need of full-time care and attention. The payment is made regardless of the carer’s means but is subject to certain conditions.
Carer’s Benefit is a payment for people who have made social insurance contributions and who have recently left the workforce or have reduced their hours of work to 15 hours per week or less and are looking after somebody in need of full-time care and attention. You can get carer’s benefit for a total of 2 years for each person being cared for. You may be eligible for carer’s leave.

Incapacitated Child Tax Credit
The tax credit can be claimed where a claimant proves that he/she has been living at any time during the tax year with a child who is permanently incapacitated either physically or mentally from maintaining himself/herself. If you have a medical card issued by the Health Service Executive (HSE) you can receive certain health services free of charge. Normally, your dependent spouse or partner and your children are also covered for the same range of health services.
